ALBA GU BRATH is scots gealic wich means SCOTLAND FOR EVER. This is my first tattoo and plan to get a lot more to show everyone how proud i am to be scottish. Alba Gu Brath

Love your tat too bits i was born in the scottish borders and scottish at heart. Gettin my first tat soon and also want it Gàidhlig to show how proud i am to be scottish! Any chance to could please help me translate it, i would appreciate it so much

Nice tattoo. I'm currently getting a thistle with the same writing but in a different font designed. Sorry to point out though that you've missed an accent, it should read Alba gu bràth.

I think you'll find this font is not Old English as has been posted above, but Old Cornish and very much in keeping with the wearers sentiments in choice.

Hey this is great! Me and my dad are getting it too, me on my ankle and dad on his back. We're using Scots Gaelic font though. Awesome!

thanks for the comments guys, hi paul yeah the reason i got it done in olde english text is because its a bit of an up-yours to the english if you like lol .... im about to get the rest of that arm covered custom job of course saltire rapped all the way round arm from shoulder to elbow with maybe lower arm trible with a tad colour blue n white to match the saltire...
